Safe Haven – The church serves as a supervised visitation facility for families who are attempting to reunite. Members have been trained to supervise the visits of family members. The church facility offers an inviting area for visitation in a more relaxed atmosphere which can foster improved relationships. Rockmart Presbyterian Church is committed to bringing families together and to serving in our community. Safe Haven offers an excellent way to be involved.

Mission Activities - Rockmart Presbyterian Church sponsors several mission projects throughout the year. It is believed that Mission supports our faith and faith compels us towards mission. In addition to special offerings taken over the course of the year for a variety of programs, other mission activities occur. Collecting bed sheets and baby layettes for Africa, raising money for Palms or the Moringa Tree so that the Congolese can help themselves and raising funds for mosquito nets to fight Malaria are a few of these projects. Rockmart Presbyterian Church will also be joining with the Cartersville Presbyterian Church in mission trips for hands on mission experience.

Missionary Support – The church has had a relationship with a Haitian Mission that supports a school and a medical clinic.  After the earthquake this commitment has been strengthened.  The organizaion is Coalition of Children in Need Assoiciation.

Back-Pack Ministry If you are in the schools on Monday morning, one of the first things that becomes apparent is that some children come to school hungry after the weekend. As church members became more aware of the needs within our own community, questions of how to assist arose. One of the answers came to us as we read about another community who sent home food bags with children for the weekend. Through conversation the commitment of the church and of the schools developed to start a Back-Pack Ministry in Rockmart at the elementary schools. Plastic grocery bags are filled with 2 lunches, 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, snacks and several drinks. Members bring items to pack in the bags  Rockmart Presbyterian Church is able to respond to God’s love and to God’s call. The women of the church purchase the food and pack it twice a month. Please call the church for more information.

Summer Lunch Program: During the summer months, Rockmart Presbyterian Church has helped to organize the Summer Lunch Program for the community. This program feeds school age children on weekdays throughout the summer through the Federal Food Nutrition Department. A simple lunch is provided by the lunch room staff.Church and organization members pick up the lunches and take them to sites across the area. The first year, the lunches were distributed at 1 site.In 2011 with the increase in participation, we were able to distribute 8650 lunches at 3 locations.
